We went wide with the maple down the center this time — two full planks book-matched, framed by thin mahogany pinlines, then wrapped in deep African mahogany on the rails. From nose to tail it reads like a 60s longboard blank. Under the beauty it's all work: 12-ply Baltic birch core, cross-laminated and hand-pressed in Corona for stiffness at this length. No flexy bounce, just a stable, predictable platform that holds a line.
Oil finish, hand-rubbed, so you get that warm glow in the sun and you can actually feel the grain under your shoes. This shape is made for distance — bike paths, boardwalks, big sweeping carves.
